Why Bloomstay?

With Bloomstay, we aim to extend the life and enjoyment of tulips. While most tulip bunches without bulbs are finished blooming after 7 days, at Bloomstay we aim to provide 21 days of tulip enjoyment. We achieve this by offering tulips with bulbs. This bulb provides tulips with more nutrients, keeping them vibrant longer. Furthermore, the bulb ensures the tulip doesn't use more water than it needs.

For 20 years, tulips have been grown hydroponically. We pierce the tulip bulbs with sharp points in a container of water. This allows the tulips to grow straight towards the light and remain upright. The tulips are then harvested just as they are about to bloom. This process uses a lot of energy to grow the tulips, ultimately leading to the risk that they will be left too long at the florist or supermarket, and will have already finished blooming before they are ready to be used.

That's why we recommend letting the tulips grow and bloom at the customer's location, and delivering the tulips with bulbs to the store or customer on time. This prevents the tulips from blooming too far, and also prevents a huge waste of energy.
