Step 1
To link
When you receive your tulips with bulbs, it's essential to place them in a vase with water. Make sure the vase is clean and fill it with fresh water. The water level shouldn't be above the bulbs. You can connect the bulbs however you like; connecting them ensures that as your tulips grow taller, they'll remain upright. Besides connecting them, the bulbs can also be hung using the clip, as long as they're submerged in water.
Step 2
Location
Place the pot or vase with the bulbs in a safe place. Ideally, the bulbs should be in a bright, but not too warm spot. For example, place them on a (side) table, in a windowsill, or on a countertop. But don't place them near a heater, as this will shorten the growth and flowering period.
Step 3
Care
Check every few days to see if the roots are still submerged in water. If not, top up the water, but not above the bulb. And if the roots turn brown or the water becomes cloudy, change the water.
Step 4
Aftercare
Have the tulips finished blooming or grown too tall? Cut the stems to the desired length and, if desired, place the tulips in a vase. You can use the skewer to bury the bulbs in the ground. Depending on the conditions, the bulbs may emerge after a year, and then you'll enjoy the tulips again!
